Meet Nasir Rashid

Eighteen years of listening — and getting to the real answer

I’m Nasir Rashid, a specialist audiologist. For eighteen years I led audiology services across the NHS, caring for people who’d been rushed, dismissed, or told to “just live with it”. The Tinnitus Guy is where I now bring all of that experience, full-time — my own clinic, built to give people the unhurried, honest, clinical-first care I always wanted for my patients.

As the clinic grows, I’m not diluting that — I’m protecting it. Every clinician who joins is trained personally by me, through the TTG Academy, to the same standard and the same protocols. So whether you see me or a member of my team, you’re being seen by someone I’ve taught.

No commission targets. No sales scripts. Just a proper clinical opinion and an honest plan — from someone trained to give it.

Experience you can trust

Two decades of getting to the difficult answers

The difference an experienced specialist makes isn’t in the equipment — it’s in the judgement. Across nearly twenty years in audiology, much of it leading specialist teams, I’ve seen the cases that don’t fit the textbook: the tinnitus that’s been brushed off elsewhere, the hearing changes tangled up with something more complex, the people who’d started to believe nothing could be done.

That’s the experience you’re drawing on here. Whatever brings you in — everyday wax and hearing changes, persistent tinnitus, or something that’s had you worried for a while — you’re starting with someone who has very likely seen it before, and who will tell you honestly what actually helps.

The people who’ll see you

Growing the clinic — without lowering the bar

Everything I’ve learned building and leading NHS services taught me one thing: a service is only as good as the standard you can reproduce when you’re not the one in the room. That is exactly what the TTG Academy exists to do.

Rather than hire generically as we grow, I train clinicians myself — in ear care, assessment and the way we look after people — to the precise standard and protocols I’ve written. It’s the same discipline I’ve brought to NHS departments: clear procedures, proper training, and no drop in quality just because the team is bigger. When you’re seen by a member of the team, you’re seen by someone I’ve personally trained.

My approach

Clinical-first — never sales-led

What we are

Specialist-led — seen by an experienced clinician trained personally to our standard

Clinical and evidence-based, not led by what we can sell

Honest about outcomes — what helps, and what won’t

Consistent — the same standard of care, whoever you see

What we are not

A hearing-aid shop with a clinical front

Commission-driven or target-based

A rushed five-minute appointment

A one-size-fits-all package

The four fears we address

The worries you arrive with — answered plainly

“You’ll just try to sell me hearing aids.”

We recommend technology only when the evidence says it will genuinely help — and often it doesn’t. You’ll never be pushed.

“I’ll be rushed and dismissed, like before.”

Appointments are unhurried. You’ll get a full explanation in plain language, and time to ask everything you need to.

“Nothing can be done anyway.”

Not true — and not false hope either. We’re honest about what genuinely helps, and we start there.

“I won’t understand what’s happening to me.”

You’ll see inside your own ears and leave knowing exactly what’s going on, and why.
